Kāpiti Coast Heritage Clue Hunt Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
Prize Draw Terms & Conditions: Entering this prize draw is deemed acceptance of these and any other applicable terms and conditions. The organiser: Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group is the organiser of the event called the “Kāpiti Coast Heritage Clue Hunt”. Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group is a not-for-profit organisation made up of a collective of museums in the Kāpiti Coast region. Prize draw period: The Kāpiti Coast Heritage Clue Hunt commences at 10am and ends at 3pm on each of the following days, Saturday 17th January 2026, Sunday 18th January 2026 and Monday 19th January 2026 (prize draw period). How to enter: The clues can be found on the entry form. The answers to the clues can be found in each participating museum. You will receive one entry into the prize draw for every correct answer to a clue. A minimum of one correct answer is required to enter the prize draw. Entries must be received in a physical entry form box at a participating museum by 2pm on Monday, 19th January 2026. No purchase or entry fee is required to enter the prize draw. Contact details must be completed in full to enter the prize draw. Eligibility to enter and win a prize: To enter you must: (a) be 18 years or older to receive a prize pack. If a winner is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must receive the prize pack on their behalf, (b) be a New Zealand resident residing or staying at a residential address in New Zealand to receive a prize pack, (c) not be involved in the organisation of this event, (d) physically visit a participating museum and deliver the entry form into the entry box at a participating museum, to enter the prize draw, (e) consent to using your full name & hometown for publicity and promotional purposes. Only one entry form per individual. Prizes & prize selection: There are four prize packs in total and the total prize pool value is NZ$2,755. The prize packs are: Prize Pack 1 – Total Value $930
If a prize becomes unavailable: Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group is not responsible or liable for any prize that becomes unavailable for reasons beyond their control. In this event, the prize will not be substituted. Notifying winners: Winners will be notified by the Chairman of Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group within 5 working days of the draw via the contact details provided to enter the prize draw. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted within 7 working days of the draw occurring or if the Chairman determines that a winner is not eligible to participate in the draw, the prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted and the prize allocated to the new winner. Prize conditions: Conditions of individual prizes and expiry dates are at the discretion of the business who has donated the prize. Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group is not responsible or liable for the conditions of prizes. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and are not redeemable for cash. Winners can only be awarded one prize pack. If a winner is drawn for any additional prize pack, the additional prize pack will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted and the prize pack allocated to the new winner. Verifying compliance with these terms: Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group reserves the right to verify the identity of any entrant (including an entrant’s identity, age, city/town or residence) and to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise in accordance with these terms and conditions. Exclusion of liability: Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group and their respective museum or other volunteers will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from the prize. Disputes: In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the competition including eligibility, the decision of the Chairman will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by the Chairman of Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group will be entered into. Additional terms: Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the prize draw and these Terms and Conditions at any time. Privacy: All entries remain the property of Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group. All personal information will be collected and stored by Discover Kāpiti Heritage Group in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access and amend this information. Your personal information may be used to conduct this prize draw and for notifying you of future events. By entering this prize draw you consent to your personal information being used for these purposes. You may opt out and any time.
